Tidy Up History Tier List Hub
Ability priority tiers and recommended wing order for Casual Human's cozy museum sim.
Welcome to the Tier List Hub for Tidy Up History. This section ranks what to unlock and clear first—not combat units—because Casual Human’s museum cleaner is a single-player cozy sim built around XP abilities, keys, knowledge books, and room-by-room restoration.
Use these lists when you want a faster path to Museum Owner (full restore), Master Cleaner (all abilities), Keymaster (all keys), and Knowledgeable (all knowledge books). Pair them with the museum progress checklist and Getting Started when you are still learning the loop.
What we rank here
Tidy Up History does not publish a public PvP meta. Instead, players constantly ask two practical questions:
- Which ability slots should I unlock first with XP?
- Which exhibit wings should I clear early so keys, fossils, and knowledge books unlock smoothly?
We answer both with recommended priority tiers grounded in gameplay logic: mobility, cleaning power, carry capacity, and reach tend to pay off before luxury quality-of-life picks. Exact in-game ability names can vary by patch UI copy, so this hub labels slots and roles rather than inventing official skill titles.
Hub pages
Ability Unlock Priority
A deep S / A / B / C ranking of ability types—movement, cleaning strength, multi-carry, reach, highlight helpers, and late luxury upgrades—plus how XP spending supports the 25 Steam achievements. Featured for launch-week players who want fewer dead ends while restoring dusty halls.
Best Room Order
A recommended clear order across the known wings: Cerapoda, Theropods, Ornithopods & Thyreophorans, Non-Dinosaurian, Stone Age, Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece/Rome, Ancient China, Ancient India, Ancient Japan/Korea, Medieval Europe, Islamic World, Subsaharan Kingdoms, Mesoamerica/Andean, and Indigenous North America. Includes why dinosaur halls usually come early and how human-history clusters chain with keys.
How to read the tiers
| Tier | Meaning |
|---|---|
| S | Unlock or clear as soon as available—huge time saves |
| A | Strong next pick after S; keeps momentum |
| B | Situational or mid-game; still useful |
| C | Fine later; lower urgency for a first full restore |
Tiers assume a completion-focused run on Windows Steam (released 16 September 2026), single-player, no co-op. If you prefer a slower, documentary-paced clean, demote mobility picks and promote knowledge helpers—you will still finish, just on a calmer clock.
Synergy with tools and updates
- Track rooms, keys, books, and skeletons on the checklist tool.
- Confirm PC specs on system requirements before long sessions (minimum 16 GB RAM, Windows 10, i5-2500-class CPU, GTX 1050).
- Watch launch-day notes and the Updates Hub for patch changes that might reshuffle ability costs or room gating.
- Official store and community links live on the Links Hub.
Launch context (Sep 2026)
Casual Human launched Tidy Up History with an introductory -15% Steam offer ending 30 September 2026, full controller support, and 25 achievements. Early reviews lean Positive as the sample grows. Ranking advice here favors first-clear efficiency: earn XP in accessible halls, buy abilities that reduce trip time, hunt keys to open locked wings, use knowledge books to place artifacts correctly, and assemble dinosaur skeletons part by part.
If a future patch renames abilities or reorders wing unlocks, we will revise the subpages—bookmark this hub and re-check after major updates.
Suggested reading order
- Skim Ability Unlock Priority and pick your first two S-tier slots.
- Follow Best Room Order until the first human-history key gate.
- Tick progress on the checklist so Master Cleaner / Museum Owner goals stay visible.
- Return here when a wing feels slow—usually you need carry or reach, not a brand-new route.
Happy restoring—and may every fossil find its pedestal.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is this an official Casual Human tier list?
No. These are community recommended priority tiers for ability slots and room order. Cross-check patch notes on the Updates Hub and track goals with the checklist.
Should I max every ability before opening new wings?
Usually no. Grab S-tier mobility and cleaning power early, then open keyed wings for fresh XP. See Ability Unlock Priority for the full order.
Do room rankings assume I have all keys already?
No. Best Room Order respects key gating and suggests efficient paths when a wing is still locked.
Where do achievements fit into these tiers?
Master Cleaner needs all abilities; Museum Owner needs a full restore; Keymaster and Knowledgeable need every key and knowledge book. The checklist maps those goals room by room.
