Tidy Up History Achievements Guide (25 Steam)

Track systemic trophies and Complete [room] unlocks while you restore Casual Human’s museum.

Achievements

Tidy Up History ships with 25 Steam achievements. Casual Human’s cozy single-player museum sim ties trophies to the same verbs you already use: clean, repair, study, place, assemble, unlock, and finish halls. This guide groups achievements by theme, explains how to play toward them naturally, and points to deep pages for each system. It does not invent hidden percentage quirks or fake secret steps — treat it as a completion framework for the Windows Steam release (app 4870430).

How to use this checklist

  1. Play the game for fun first using Getting Started and the Walkthrough.
  2. After a few wings, open this page and tick systemic gaps.
  3. Use room completes as your backbone — they force thoroughness that feeds other trophies.
  4. Save obsessive leftover hunts for a polish session at the end.

There is no co-op boost. Every unlock is yours alone.

Systemic achievements (playstyle trophies)

Assembler

Progress by seating fossil parts onto dinosaur (and related) mounts. Work Cerapoda, Theropods, Ornithopods & Thyreophorans, and Non-Dinosaurian displays. Deep craft: Dinosaur Skeletons.

When Dinos Ruled the Earth

A broader prehistoric completion trophy fantasy. Do not skip Non-Dinosaurian content while worshipping T. rex energy. Finish the prehistoric roster listed in Museum Rooms.

Curator

Rewards correct exhibition work — artifacts in the right places with proper identification. Follow Artifacts and Labels and refuse wrong-era placeholders.

Handyman

Repair damaged fixtures instead of only wiping dirt. Chain repairs inside each hall during Cleaning and Repairs passes.

Master Cleaner

Dirt and clutter thoroughness. Edge-then-center sweeps, vertical stains, under-crate checks. If a room “looks fine” from the door, spin in place anyway.

Keymaster

Find keys and open wings. Slow searches during cleaning beat frantic empty-handed hunts — Keys and Wings.

Archivist

Engage with records and knowledge materials across the museum. Read books when you find them; do not backlog an entire library — Knowledge Books.

Knowledgeable

Prove you learned enough to identify mysterious objects. Study → recognize → place. Guessing less, reading more.

Museum Owner

The big ownership / completion vibe: wings open, halls restored, institution ready for the grand opening. Earn it by finishing the roster, not by rushing the title screen.

Complete [room] achievements

A large share of the 25 achievements are Complete [room] style unlocks keyed to individual halls. Treat each of these as a mini final exam:

Prehistoric

  • Complete Cerapoda
  • Complete Theropods
  • Complete Ornithopods & Thyreophorans
  • Complete Non-Dinosaurian

Human history

  • Complete Stone Age
  • Complete Mesopotamia
  • Complete Ancient Egypt
  • Complete Ancient Greece/Rome
  • Complete Ancient China
  • Complete Ancient India
  • Complete Ancient Japan/Korea
  • Complete Medieval Europe
  • Complete Islamic World
  • Complete Subsaharan Kingdoms
  • Complete Mesoamerica/Andean
  • Complete Indigenous North America

For each, run the standard bar: clean, repair, study, place, finish mounts if any, residual key search. Details per theme live on Museum Rooms.

If a Complete popup does not fire, you are missing a repair, a mislabeled piece, an unread requirement, or a leftover fossil socket — not a random Steam glitch as first assumption.

Efficient achievement routing

Achievements overlap if you play “properly”:

  • Cleaning a hall → Master Cleaner + XP + chance at keys (Keymaster)
  • Repairing while cleaning → Handyman
  • Reading before placing → Archivist + Knowledgeable + Curator
  • Seating bones during prehistoric cleans → Assembler + room complete
  • Opening and finishing every wing → Museum Owner + When Dinos Ruled the Earth support

This is why the Walkthrough prefers finishing rooms over opening five half-done wings. Parallel incompletes stall multiple trophies at once.

XP abilities as achievement enablers

You do not unlock a trophy called “Bought Skills,” but abilities make Master Cleaner and Assembler realistic in dense late halls. Spend into cleaning, carry, and highlight tools via Abilities and XP so polish sessions stay cozy.

Polish-session plan (final 25 chase)

  1. List rooms without Complete unlocks.
  2. For each, do a silent audit with the five-step bar — no new wing opens mid-audit.
  3. Check systemic trophies: which of Assembler / Handyman / Curator / Archivist / Knowledgeable / Master Cleaner / Keymaster still lag?
  4. Assign one session per lagging system (repair-only hour, reading-only hour, bone-only hour).
  5. Finish with a full museum walking lap for anything visually wrong.
  6. Confirm Museum Owner / dinosaur finale requirements after the roster is green.

Common achievement mistakes

  • Leaving one broken lamp in an otherwise perfect Egypt hall.
  • Skipping Non-Dinosaurian while claiming dinosaurs are done.
  • Wrong-era placeholders that block Curator honesty.
  • Unread books in a side office you marked complete.
  • Key still sitting in a cleaned room because you never slow-swept shelves.
  • Assuming multiplayer help — there is none; single-player only.

Tracking tips

  • Use Steam’s overlay achievement list beside this wiki page.
  • Keep a notes file with hall names from the rooms guide.
  • After each play session, write two bullets: rooms advanced, systems advanced.
  • When stuck, return to process guides rather than spoiler roulette.

Tie-in to store context

Launch buyers may still see the introductory −15% offer ending 30 September 2026. Achievement hunting works the same on sale copies — 25 trophies, full controller support, Windows. Minimum specs still apply if a friend asks before joining the curator club (solo).

Final encouragement

Every achievement in Tidy Up History is a love letter to thoroughness. None require cruelty or leaderboard stress. Clean the corner, fix the fixture, read the book, seat the bone, open the wing, finish the room. Do that across the roster and the full 25 — Assembler through Museum Owner and every Complete [room] — will fall into place like a well-labeled case.
