Tidy Up History Museum Progress Checklist

A practical tracker for rooms, keys, books, fossils, and the big Steam achievements.

Museum Progress Checklist

Use this museum progress checklist while restoring Tidy Up History. It is built for Casual Human’s single-player Steam release (16 September 2026) and focuses on the structural goals players chase for a satisfying grand opening: full wing restores, ability completion, keys, and knowledge books.

Print it, mirror it in a notes app, or mentally tick sections between sessions. Combine with Best Room Order for sequencing and Ability Unlock Priority for XP spending. Return to the Tools Hub for specs and other utilities.

How to use this checklist

  1. Mark a wing Cleaned when dirt/damage loops are done.
  2. Mark Organized when artifacts/fossils sit on correct displays.
  3. Mark Keyed when you have finished hunting keys inside that wing (or note if the wing itself required a key to enter).
  4. Mark Books when knowledge collectibles tied to that theme are handled.
  5. At the bottom, track account-wide pillars: Master Cleaner, Museum Owner, Keymaster, Knowledgeable.

If a patch rearranges content, skim the Updates Hub before trusting an old tick.

Achievement pillars (tick when done)

  • Museum Owner — fully restore the museum
  • Master Cleaner — unlock all abilities
  • Keymaster — find all keys
  • Knowledgeable — complete all knowledge books
  • Review the other achievements among the 25 Steam total (misc. milestones vary by playstyle)

These four names are the planning anchors for this wiki. Other achievements still matter for 100% hunters; use Steam’s overlay list alongside this page.

  • Keys searched
  • Knowledge books checked

Ornithopods & Thyreophorans

Fossil block note: Early XP here should fund S-tier mobility and cleaning abilities. Do not tick “organized” until silhouette mounts look finished—partial skeletons are the classic false completion.

Ability unlock tracker (Master Cleaner)

Because official UI names can shift, track roles you have purchased rather than inventing titles:

  • Mobility / movement upgrades acquired (all ranks you intend)
  • Cleaning power upgrades acquired
  • Carry capacity upgrades acquired
  • Reach upgrades acquired
  • Highlight / finder helpers acquired
  • Knowledge / identification assists acquired
  • Remaining luxury / QoL nodes acquired
  • Master Cleaner popped in Steam

Follow S→A→B→C spending from the abilities tier list so this section fills without stalling Museum Owner.

Keymaster & Knowledgeable quick audits

Keys

  • Revisited every completed wing for tucked keys after major cleans
  • Checked storage, behind large mounts, and near locked doors
  • Used finder-style abilities during leftover sweeps
  • Keymaster achievement unlocked

Knowledge books

  • Collected/read books as wings opened
  • Re-verified tricky pedestals after each book
  • No “almost right” displays left in Egypt / Asia / Americas clusters
  • Knowledgeable achievement unlocked

Session log template

Copy this block into your notes:

  • Date:

  • Abilities bought:
  • Keys found:
  • Books finished:
  • Blockers (locked door / missing fossil / performance):
  • Next session plan:

Performance blockers belong on System Requirements. Strategy blockers belong on the Tier List Hub. News blockers belong on Updates.

100% hygiene tips

  • Never trust memory after a week away—re-walk “done” wings once with highlight helpers before declaring Museum Owner.
  • Separate entered from finished; many players over-tick after a partial clean.
  • When only C-tier wings remain, clear abilities leftovers the same week so Master Cleaner does not become a forgotten errand.
  • Intro sale shoppers finishing before 30 September 2026 can still use this list unchanged—discounts do not alter room count.

After every box is ticked

Congratulations on the virtual grand opening. Share bug finds or thank-yous via community links on the Links Hub, and keep an eye on launch-day follow-up patches. If Casual Human adds rooms later, extend this checklist rather than deleting early fossil ticks—your Cerapoda work still counts.

For a refresher on efficient routing, reread Best Room Order. For XP leftovers, reread Ability Unlock Priority.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Does this checklist include every Steam achievement?

It prioritizes Museum Owner, Master Cleaner, Keymaster, and Knowledgeable plus room rows. Cross-check all 25 in Steam’s overlay and the Tools Hub.

What order should I tick wings?

Follow Best Room Order unless a key forces a detour—then return and tick both wings honestly.

How do I track abilities without exact names?

Use the role checkboxes (mobility, cleaning, carry, reach, helpers) aligned with Ability Unlock Priority until Master Cleaner unlocks.

Can friends share one checklist in co-op?

No co-op mode—the game is single-player. Keep one checklist per save. See the Links Hub for official feature notes.

My PC stutters before I finish Egypt—now what?

Pause the checklist and verify system requirements, especially the 16 GB RAM minimum.
